We celebrated the return of Spring racing at Flemington.
We celebrated spring racing at Flemington with a sensational day filled with style, fun and thrilling thoroughbred racing on Sofitel Girls’ Day Out.
On track there was a nine-race program that featured the Group 1 PFD Food Services Makybe Diva Stakes (1600m), plus two Group 2 races: the Lexus Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) for open sprinters and the Furphy Let’s Elope Stakes (1400m) for mares, many of which kicked off their important spring campaigns.
The stylish Spring Salon returned in The Atrium, where Members and their guests could Meet the Milliner to view and purchase the latest spring collections from some of Australia’s best milliners, as well as step inside the Pamper Lounge to help keep their look on point throughout the day. Head to the Roof Garden to enjoy the spring weather with refreshing cocktails and a curated spring menu to enjoy. Resident DJ John Course kept the party going from Race 7 until way past the last with extended hours.
The Saintly Place Sports Bar is open all Spring long for everybody to enjoy the pub like atmosphere and the best spot to watch the footy in between races!
There was a fun welcome waiting for the kids on the Flemington Family Lawn with plenty of fun things for everyone to enjoy, from face painting to sports and games, as well as arts and crafts and pony rides under the Parade Deck. A perfect family day out at the races.

If you could bottle spring racing it would be Spring on The Roof Garden in the Club Stand. Adorned in flowers and greenery, The Roof Garden offers VRC members and guests spectacular views, tempting spring menu and cocktails, and live music from resident DJ, John Course, from Race 7 spinning tunes past the last!
Members Family Lawn
A day at Flemington is fun for even the youngest racegoers on the Members Lawn during Sofitel Girls’ Day Out. From pony rides under the Parade Deck to face-painting and lawn games, there’s something for every pint-sized punter to enjoy.
Extended hours
With extended hours and live musical entertainment after the last means members will be able to enjoy the festivities of the day long past the last with the Piano Man in the G.H.Mumm Champagne Bar and Resident DJ John Course in The Roof Garden.

Haven’t registered for our VRC Member Stakes yet? Register by midday Wednesday 7 September and if your name is drawn and your horse wins, you'll receive a $200 VRC cash-on-card credit for on-course food and beverage outlets.

With easy access to the Winning Post, billiards and foosball, the Saintly Place Sports Bar is a great spot to enjoy all the racing action and a day of socialising with friends. Plus, in-between races you can watch the footy on the big screen!

Fawkner and Fields Of Omagh will be joining us at Flemington. Be sure to catch them in the horse stalls throughout the day and parading in the Mounting Yard.
Front Lawn Beer Garden
Grab a table on the Front Lawn and enjoy a day at the races with prime views of the track and winning post. With access to food trucks, pop-up bars and live entertainment a fun day at Flemington is guaranteed.
