Frankie Dettori’s charismatic riding style and remarkable achievements have made him a household name in horse racing.

Dettori gained global fame in 1996 when he achieved an unprecedented feat, winning all seven races on a single card at Ascot, an accomplishment known as the ‘Magnificent Seven.’ He’s won multiple prestigious races including the Epsom Derby and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. With more than 3,000 career wins, Dettori’s skill, showmanship, and enduring passion for the sport continue to captivate racing enthusiasts worldwide, solidifying his status as a racing legend.

He recently spoke with Nick Luck in England on behalf of the VRC, reflecting on his illustrious career as it draws to a close. This bittersweet decision allows him to spend more time with his wife and their five children, remarking, “I haven’t seen my wife Catherine in 25 years!” Dettori also shares his thoughts about the racing landscape’s evolution and his affection for the elusive Lexus Melbourne Cup. In his 19th and final attempt in 2023, he aspires to seize the ultimate prize.
