James Cummings set for an assault on Champion Stakes Day

Godolphin trainer James Cummings is getting excited about the big money Group 1 races set to turn Stakes Day into a day of champions.

With three $3m Group 1 races on the card for the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival on November 5, Stakes Day will now be known as Champion Stakes Day and Cummings says his star galloper Cascadian is tailor-made for the weight-for-age Mackinnon.
