2023 Melbourne Cup Carnival tickets on sale today

Early bird tickets for this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival go on sale today, making the magic of one of Victoria’s biggest and best sporting and cultural events exceptional value for money for all.

As the countdown begins to Australia’s ultimate celebration of sport, fashion, entertainment, food and wine, early bird tickets can be snapped up from 3:00pm today until 31 July 2023.

Early bird pricing offers a 30 per cent discount on the regular price, with adult general admission tickets available across each day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival:

As always, children under 12 years of age can experience the Cup Week fun for free when accompanied by an adult, a rarity for a major event, while early bird tickets for juniors aged between 12 and 17 start at as little as $13. Early bird family passes start at just $84 for two adults and two juniors under 17.

The Melbourne Cup Carnival attracts more than 250,000 racegoers to Flemington and a global audience of more than 750 million, generating over $422 million for the Victorian economy each year, a figure unrivalled by any other major sporting event.

Victoria Racing Club CEO Steve Rosich said Cup Week is on track to deliver an exceptional and affordable experience for all.

“This year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival will again deliver the iconic sporting and entertainment event the nation loves, while offering great value for money to ensure the whole family can be part of the action,” Mr Rosich said.

“We have brought forward the availability of early bird general admission tickets and they are available for longer to provide even greater accessibility and value for money.

“We can’t wait for what promises to be a blockbuster week of sport, fashion, entertainment, food and wine, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to the state and supporting local jobs and businesses across Victoria.

“Last year at Flemington alone 16,194 people from more than 570 companies were employed to help put on one of the greatest shows on earth, and planning is well under way for another magical Melbourne Cup Carnival.”
