We welcomed in the New Year with a brilliant eight-race card headlined by the Listed Bagot Handicap (2800m) and the Listed Chester Manifold Stakes (1400m).
The time-honoured Bagot Handicap attracts the country’s best off-season stayers ahead of bigger autumn targets; and the Chester Manifold Stakes is named in honour of the former VRC Chairman (serving between 1951-1962).
