The Melbourne Cup is bound for Federation Square for it’s final stop on the 2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour
After 33 locations on the 2022 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, the Lexus Melbourne Cup is homeward bound ready to shine on that first Tuesday in November.
Join us for a free, family friendly event as we celebrate the iconic Melbourne Cup and the heroes of our sport. The cavalcade led by a marching band and connections of the 24 runners in the Melbourne Cup, including notable jockeys and trainers will parade across Princes Bridge and into Federation Square, where they will be joined by official Cup Bearers - VRC Chairman Neil Wilson and Lord Mayor Sally Capp plus a quartet of retired Cup Champions who now call Living Legends home.
Federation Square will come alive with a taste of Cup Week including free children’s activities, roving entertainers, photo opportunities with the Lexus Melbourne Cup, lunchtime snack and an exclusive performance by Hot Dub Time Machine.
There will be something for everyone as we celebrate the race that stops a nation.

11:30am - Event commences at Federation Square
12:20pm - The Lexus Melbourne Cup Cavalcade commences
12:35pm - Arrival into Federation Square for the Lexus Melbourne Cup Preview Show hosted by Michael Felgate, plus a photo opportunity with the Melbourne Cup!
1:05pm - Headline Entertainment - Hot Dub Time Machine
2:05pm - Event concludes
