The Group 2 Blamey Stakes produced an incredible fighting finish with Inspirational Girl edging out Zaaki over the Flemington mile.

Zaaki, ridden by Jamie Kah burst through the pack to grab the lead with 150m to go but Inspiration Girl with Damian Lane in the saddle finished too strong. The All Star Mile in two weeks awaits.
