Outstanding apprentice jockey Alana Kelly takes a major step towards first Lexus Melbourne Cup.

Alana Kelly's patient winning ride aboard Point Nepean in the Lexus Andrew Ramsden on Saturday at Flemington could well earn her a start in the Lexus Melbourne Cup in November. It was an impressive win for the Team Williams stayer and post race co-owner Nick Williams even compared him to Cup winner Almandin.
