My name is Nikki and I've just completed my degree in fashion & costume design at LCI. For many years I was a cellist, but during the lockdowns I developed a love for sewing which lead me to take on further studies. Over the last two years I have refined my design aesthetic and have found that I love to work with transparent materials. I love the challenge of having to consider all perspectives of the garment, inside and out. I often source my materials second hand and up-cycle deadstock where I can to minimise on waste. I love creating bold silhouettes and always consider how the body can become a part of the clothing. I want to emphasise the beauty of the human form and try to change the way in which we feel insecure about our bodies.
